Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Land AI LLC (“Land AI”, “we”, “our”) provides a B2B platform that lets businesses operate AI assistants on WhatsApp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from end-customers who message an agent operated by one of our business clients, and how we handle that information.

2. Information we process

  • WhatsApp phone number (sent by Meta with every message)
  • Message content you send to a business’s agent
  • Agent replies and any media (images, documents, video) the agent sends back
  • Timestamps and message identifiers used to deduplicate retries
  • Optional metadata our business clients add (escalation tickets, internal notes)

We do not collect WhatsApp profile photos, contact lists, or messages sent to other numbers. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Why we process it

  • To deliver the message to the correct business’s agent and return a reply
  • To maintain a conversation history so the agent can answer follow-up questions
  • To let our business clients view the conversation in their admin dashboard
  • To improve quality through aggregate, de-identified analytics

4. Subprocessors

We use the following service providers to operate the platform. Each is bound by data protection agreements:

  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — WhatsApp Business Cloud API
  • Google Cloud Platform — hosting, storage (GCS), database (Firestore), authentication (Firebase)
  • Google AI / OpenAI / Anthropic — large-language-model inference for agent replies
  • Vercel — frontend hosting

5. Retention

Conversation logs are retained for the lifetime of the business client’s account. When a client deletes an agent or closes their account, associated conversation logs are deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be kept longer.

6. Your rights

If you are an end-customer messaging an agent operated by one of our business clients, the business is the controller of your data and your first point of contact for access, correction, or deletion requests. Land AI acts as a processor on their behalf.

7. Security

We use TLS for all data in transit, encrypted storage at rest (GCS / Firestore), and least-privilege service accounts. WhatsApp access tokens are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager. We do not store payment information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
